Her comm had been beeping continuously for the past twenty minutes. Despite trying to focus on watching the group sitting with Maz at the table across from her, the insistent beeping at her was going to be more distracting that figuring out what Solo was doing with the two unknown youngsters and Maz.
Finally, she couldn’t take it any more.
“Yeah… No, Fett, I- If you wanted it done at your pace…. Yes, Solo’s still here….”
When she looks at the table again, all of the group is gone.
                              “Osik! Where did he-”

Han could tell right away that this situation was turning south. While helping the two kids was the RIGHT thing to do (something that the aging man still sometimes had trouble doing), they drew a target on all of their backs. Luckily for them, the ex-smuggler knew all about that. Hazel orbs scanned their surroundings – husky voice breaking up the heated conversation.

Y’know – we might wanna take this SOMEWHERE ELSE. He hissed, feeling the stare of every bounty hunter in Maz’s cantina. If they kept this up The First Order would be here in a few short moments. That, or he’d run into another person he owed (really, the list was endless). The man wasn’t even sure with option was worse.

In quick agreement, they split up, Han making a quick trail back outside, patting his side to make sure he still had his trusted blaster.

’ If you want to leave, you can. I’ll remember you, though. ’

I’m comin’ back, LEIA. I just – The older man paused, eyes weary, EXHAUSTEDI need some time s’all. There was so much that he wanted to say, things he couldn’t say. Ben turning to the dark side changed everything. He didn’t want to face the inevitable pain, to have uncomfortable conversations. “Don’t I always come back??” He muttered, trying to lighten the mood, to help in his own strange way.

“I don’t blame you for being you but you can’t blame me for hating it.”

Han paused, mouth open for a quick retort – yet finding no words (it was a miracle really, the male was never SPEECHLESS). While being a father was an important role for him, he of all people knew he wasn’t exactly good at it. The man lived for adventure, being on the run. When Leia and him were fighting, he wasn’t one to stick around. Being with Chewie and on the Falcon (occasionally making a run or two), it felt like he was finally him, Han Solo the Smuggler, again. It was no place for a KID. He could have been better, but was he truly that bad??

The aging male cleared his throat, a hand scratching at the back of his neck. A nervous tickCome on, BEN. I’m your dad. As much as y’might hate it, you’ll always be a bit like me.” He stated, nerves pounding his heart against his chest. “We always LOVED ya.
